The five Indiana men accused of storming a Tinley Park restaurant and beating a group of alleged white supremacists asked for a new judge Thursday.

Attorneys for brothers Jason Sutherlin, 33, Cody Sutherlin, 23, and Dylan Sutherlin, 20, and for Alex Struck, 22, and John Tucker, 26, also entered innocent pleas on behalf of the men charged in connection with the May 19 attack at the Ashford House restaurant, 7959 W. 159th St.

Police called the five “anti-racists,” saying they targeted, wielding bats and wearing masks, a group calling themselves the Illinois European Heritage Association.

The presiding judge of the county courthouse in Bridgeview appointed Judge Carmen K. Aguilar, a former Cook County prosecutor elected to the bench in 2009, to handle their trials.

The men are expected back before her in July 11 when they will ask for their bails — ranging from $175,000 to $250,000 — to be reduced.
