Ten arrested in South Side drug bust
Several gang members were arrested as Chicago Police on Saturday concluded a three-month drug investigation on the South Side.
The probe, initiated in March by the Chicago Police Department and the Cook County States Attorney’s Office, focused on the criminal activities of the Black P-Stone street gang in the 5200 block of South May Street, where a double homicide recently occurred.
In Saturday’s takedown, Narcotics Division officers and Deering District tactical officers arrested a total of 10 of 14 identified targets. Police also recovered two firearms – a fully-loaded High Point 9mm rifle and a 9mm handgun.
Charges against targeted offenders include possession and delivery of a controlled substance.
In custody are: Derrick Brown, 20; Kevin Bass, 17; Sandy Hall, 33; Curtistine Elliot, 43; John Elliot, 49; Heath Huntspon, 23; Booker Rice, 56; Robert R. Moore, 26; Jeremy Pidwinski, 21, and Mustafa Muhammad, 22.
Wanted are: Darrius Norwood, 19; Kenvin Wells, 21; Jasmine Jackson, age unknown, and Robert T. Moore, 25.
