A teenage boy was critically wounded in a shooting Thursday in the Southwest Side Gage Park neighborhood.
The 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest while riding his bike in the 3400 block of West 54th Street about 9:25 p.m., police said.
A white van stopped and someone got out and shot him, then got back in the van and fled, police said.
No one is in custody early Friday. Area Central detectives are investigating.
