A Cook County jail inmate accused of molesting two teenagers allegedly tried to hire a hit man to kill one of his 15-year-old victims for $2,500.

Everardo Salinas, 29, gave the “hit man” – who was actually working undercover for the Cook County Sheriff — the girl’s first and last name as well as information about her hair color, height, weight and complexion during a meeting in the visiting area of the jail’s Division Six on June 28, Assistant State’s Attorney Matthew Thrun said.

Salinas also allegedly suggested that the hit man use social media to find the girl. He said he wanted her murdered because she was a victim in his pending court case and that he would pay the hit man once he was out of jail, Thrun said.

Salinas, a forklift driver, was ordered held in lieu of $400,000 bail last year for criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges related to two girls, both 15.

Judge Laura Sullivan ordered Salinas, of the 3700 block of West 71st Street, held without bond Thursday for solicitation for murder.
