Traveling the world without missing work

January 11, 2008

Like many couples, Grace Cheng and Pedro Pla's work schedules hurt their ability travel. So the couple decided to take a year and see the world -- without missing a day of work.

Cheng, 27, is a currency trader from Singapore. Pla, 26, is an IT geek from Puerto Rico. Both can do their jobs on the road, and that's what they've been doing for the past three months. Their journey started in Asia and they landed in Chicago a few days ago.

"There's so much to see here," said Pla, from the couple's Radisson hotel room.

Cheng and Pla do most of their work at night and save the days for sightseeing. They leave for New York on Friday. Check out Worldiki.com for daily video and text postings of their travels.
