Qatar Airways expands reach into the U.S.

On Monday, Qatar Airways will launch a new daily route between Doha and Houston. The airline already has daily non-stop service to New York and Washington, D.C.
At 17 hours, the Houston route (operated on Boeing 777s) will be one of the world's longest non-stop commercial flights.
The two-class aircraft (business and economy cabins) has seats that turn into fully flat beds in business class. The economy cabin is roomier than usual for a plane of this size, with one less seat per row.
Qatar Airways officials have made it clear they plan to add more routes in the United States. We'll have to wait to see if Chicago is next; qatarairways.com.
