Take Dad out to the ballgame

June 11, 2008

If you've given dear old Dad one too many neckties over the years, why not treat him to a baseball lover's vacation this Father's Day?

Big League Tours has baseball trips planned throughout the summer, like an East Coast adventure that gives Pops the chance to see six games and check out Shea and Yankee stadiums before they're reduced to rubble at the end of this season. Tour packages start at $800 a person and include lower-level tickets, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, several meals, behind-the-scenes stadium tours and a meet-and-greet with a former Major League player. The East Coast sojourn starts June 19 in Baltimore with a night game at Camden Yards and ends six games later with another evening match up at Boston's Fenway Park.

Other options later in the year include a short trip in St. Louis, Aug. 1-3, and another excursion that hits three ballparks in the Midwest and Pittsburgh, Aug. 12-16. A September trip in San Francisco and Oakland combines America's favorite pastime with some fine wine in Napa Valley. Get the whole lineup at www.big leaguetours.com or call (866) 619-1748.
