Munch 'n' crunch

The Tour de France starts Saturday. A week later, a lesser-known cycling event gets rolling in Downstate Staunton., 45 miles south of Springfield: Tour de Donut. The 32-mile "race" is led by the Staunton Police (a coincidence, I'm sure). Bonus points are awarded for each doughnut eaten at the two doughnut stops along the route. Register in advance at www.bebikeclub.com. Free camping is available the night before the July 12 event.
