J. Crew launches local designer capsule collection

Colorblocked cashmere twinset, designed by Creatures of the Wind as part of the J. Crew capsule collection, is on sale today.

Find Shane Gabier and Chris Peters’ Chicago-based Creatures of the Wind at J. Crew today. The 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund runners-up took their sartorial cred and designed a smaller, more affordable, three-piece collection for the fashion-forward retailer.
Keep an eye out for the design duo’s signature look, described as “’60s psychedelia and rebellious youth culture,” for inspiration. All three pieces are easy to add to any wardrobe, especially the colorblocked cashmere twinset (shown at right). A liberty-print floral sundress and bright multi-colored oxfords round out the collection.
