Pope Benedict XVI makes his first trip to the United States as pontiff this week. Highlights of his visit:

*Wednesday -- Meets with President Bush at the White House.

*Thursday -- Mass at Nationals Park. Meets with Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, Jews.

*Friday -- Addresses United Nations. Visits a synagogue. Prayer service with leaders from other Christian groups.

*Saturday -- Mass for priests, deacons and clergy at New York's St. Patrick's Cathedral.

*Sunday -- Visits Ground Zero in New York. Mass at Yankee Stadium.
