How Break4Health works

Q. How does Break4Health’s equipment differ from other fitness center’s?

A Instead of treadmills and weight-lifting equipment, Break4Health only offers bioDensity equipment (to promote bone and muscle tissue density) and Power Plate equipment (to provide vibration therapy).

Q. How else does Break4Health’s program differ from traditional gyms?

A. Break4Health’s 12-month guided program requires only 15 to 20 minutes a week and, because there is no sweating, participants do not have to change clothes.

Q. What does the Break4Health program include?

A. Weekly one-on-one coaching sessions; bi-weekly 10-minute Power Plate (vibration therapy) sessions designed to challenge strength, flexibility, balance and coordination or provide a complete total body workout, and trainer-guided bioDensity sessions, which include a chest press, leg press, core pull and vertical lift designed to improve strength.

Q. How is success measured?

A. Success is gauged by “force production” of the body, which typically increases with each session. The data is recorded, analyzed and sent directly to the participant’s e-mail address after each session.

Q. Is the Break4Health program good for weight loss?

Q. Although bioDensity increases metabolism, Mandell says dieters still need to incorporate cardiovascular exercise in their weight loss program.

Q. Where is more information available?

A. Visit www.break4health.com or call (312) 909-6343.
