Libra living in marriage limbo

Q. I need your help desperately! I don’t know if my marriage is going to last. I married my husband (born Sept. 21, 1972, at 9:05 a.m.) on June 8, 2008. He’s been deceitful and has cheated in the past, but we got past it. It’s like we have separate lives, but I’ve gotten used to it.

He has a small jet-ski business, and he’s always jet-skiing while trying to build up his business. Even though he goes on road trips with friends, we go away on vacations together. We’re not as intimate as we should be.

Did we both settle? Are we wasting each other’s time? Was he even marriage material? I was born Oct. 14, 1973.

A. Your comparison is a classic example of love gone wrong. Relationships take effort; they don’t just stay warm and fuzzy without work.

You match up to your husband mentally, but emotionally and physically, you are in trouble. Your husband is a fun-loving guy who can be deceitful emotionally if it will keep him out of trouble.

There is no reason this marriage can’t work if you participate in things together and if you get the physical love back into the relationship. Living as friends without benefits doesn’t bode well for longevity. Spice things up, or set him free.

Q. I am currently five months unemployed and am concerned that it may be some time before I find new employment. The work environment for the last two years in my previous position was extremely negative and stressful. I’m hoping that my new job will be something I will enjoy and will feel productive doing.

Do you have any suggestions for what type of work I should be focusing on, or whether I will find a job soon? I am a Cancer born July 16, 1957, at 2:42 a.m.

A. Your natal chart indicates that you have difficulties getting along with colleagues and employers, and this is something that will show up time and time again when working for someone. Any job that gives you greater freedom to work on your own is more suitable. You should consider sales positions that get you out of the office, jobs that allow you to work from home, or even your own small business, where you get to call the shots.

You may be a Cancer by sun sign, but you are strongly influenced by the sign Leo. That means you should be in charge, not taking orders. The problems you are facing have to do with the type of jobs for which you are applying. Start to think outside the box and you will discover that you have been going about finding work the wrong way.

Picking up skills or investing in you or something you can offer should be your goal. I believe that if you take this route, it will pay off beginning in 2013.
