Georgia Nicols horoscopes for July 29

Updated: August 11, 2013 8:59PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: We have the all clear to do business and make important decisions. The Moon is in Taurus.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): Today is a mixed bag. Expect challenges with authority figures about social events, children, sports, money or possessions. But these are minor. A female family member might help you financially or bless your home. Matters at work look solid.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Today, the Moon is in your sign, which gives you a bit of extra luck. (Take everything coming your way.) Disputes, especially about domestic matters, are likely. But in the main, you are happy, upbeat, carefree and ready for fun. (Not so bad, after all.)

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): You might feel resentful about someone or something at work, but you won’t say anything. (Disagreements with others will simply ruin your day.) Meanwhile, financial matters look sweet. You might be contemplating a special purchase for home or family.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): Even though disagreements about money, children and social occasions could occur, you’ll get along with everyone. An acquaintance might introduce you to new ideas or fresh faces. This is a great day to schmooze with others, especially females.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): You are noticed today. Difficulties with family members might be a small cross to bear. Your suggestions to authority figures could be cost-saving and ultimately boost your income. In addition, some kind of behind-the-scenes support helps you win the day.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Avoid controversial subjects like politics, religion and racial issues because you’ll only feel discouraged or shot down. Instead, focus on the support you get from groups. You might also enjoy a flirtation or cozy relationship with someone from another culture or different country.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): This is not a good day for important discussions about finances, shared property, taxes, debt and all that red-tape business. Someone in a group disagrees with you. Nevertheless, you come out smelling like a rose.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Difficulties with others are likely because the Moon is opposite your sign, which means you have to cooperate, accommodate and compromise. Hey, no biggie. Travel plans with someone look promising. Good day to schmooze with others.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): This is a mixed bag today because some things are smooth and others are bumpy. Disagreements with coworkers are likely, especially someone older or more experienced. (Avoid politics, religion and racial issues.) Bosses and VIPs look kindly on you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Someone might discourage you about issues related to children, sports and social occasions. A real wet blanket. Don’t let this get you down because you can escape somehow. The promise of travel and schmoozing will make your day.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Others can help you, either directly or indirectly. You might even get gifts, favors and money from someone. Therefore, don’t make a big deal about challenges with authority figures. Be gracious. Show largesse. (Why be less?)

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Don’t let someone older or more experienced discourage you. Focus instead on children, sports, playful opportunities to have fun and warm times with partners and close friends. If you are skillful, you can go with the flow and steer things smoothly.
