Georgia Nicols horoscopes for July 17

Updated: July 20, 2013 11:21PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: We have the all clear to do business and make important decisions. The Moon is in Scorpio.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): This is a strong day. You feel confident, sure of yourself and, in particular, you feel happy about how things are unfolding at home. This is an excellent day to entertain at home or invite groups over for any reason. Enjoy!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Your thinking, speech and style of communicating are excellent. This is a strong day for writers, salespeople, teachers, actors and anyone who promotes ideas. You’ll also enjoy short trips and discussions with people who are knowledgeable.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Finances look solid. You’re happy with your earnings and you hope to save a little or do something sensible with your money. It’s not how much you earn — it’s how much you save. (I’ve learned that if you save just a little every day, at the end of the year, you’ll be surprised at how little you have.)

CANCER (June 21-July 22): This is a strong day for you and you can feel it. You know you have this good fortune and everything seems to be stabilized and in its place. Good news regarding children, vacations, financial speculation and the entertainment world might please you. Yay!

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Serious family events, perhaps related to real estate or your home or an older family member, could be cause for celebration now. Something happening behind the scenes where no one even notices will actually enrich you. Fortunately, you know.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): This is a social day and you feel empowered. Enjoy meeting others whether in a group or you’re just hanging out with a friend. Advice from someone older and more experienced might help you. Accept support from others because you are blessed today.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): You can make a fabulous impression on bosses and VIPs. You appear solid, respectable and yet at the same time, positive, upbeat and full of big ideas. Others want to hear what you have to say. It’s not who wins or loses the game — it’s how you look.)

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): You couldn’t pick a better day to make educational plans, travel plans or serious plans related to medicine, the law, publishing and the media. Whatever you do will beautifully fall in place. Perhaps it’s because you know what you want and you know where you want to go.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): This is an excellent day to settle important matters related to mortgages, trusts, insurance matters, loans, debt, taxes and anything to do with shared property. Whatever the outcome, all parties will feel that it is fair and favorable.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Relations with others, including the general public, are excellent today. You find it easy to bounce off of people today because they are friendly and warm and at the same time you know they’re solid and serious.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): You can accomplish a lot at work because you have perseverance, endurance and intellectual focus. You have both mouse mind and eagle mind, which is rare. You see the details and, at the same time, the broad vision for your future.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): This is a great day to party, take a vacation, and enjoy romantic getaways. Children will have fun, and sports events will also be positive. People want to enjoy themselves but, at the same time, there’s an element of sanity and stability to everything. It’s a win-win situation.

If JULY 17 is Your Birthday: Actor Donald Sutherland (1935) shares your birthday. You are ambitious. You take career seriously. Even though you might appear to be quiet and reserved, you are a dynamo! You like to run your own business and call the shots, which is why many of you are free-lancers or self-employed. You are prepared to wait for years to achieve your goals. This year a major choice will likely arise. Choose wisely.
