Georgia Nicols horoscopes for July 5

Updated: July 20, 2013 11:19PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: We have the all clear to do business and make important decisions. The Moon is in Gemini.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): This is a chatty day! Get out and enjoy the company of others, especially siblings, neighbors and daily contacts. You’re eager to communicate your ideas or enlighten others about something. Short trips will also please you. Keep busy!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): You’re focused on finances, cash flow and earnings. (“The King was in his counting house counting out his money.”) You might dream up ways to boost your income and you might also work to maintain the things you own.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): There’s a good chance the cards will fall in your favor because the universe owes you a favor. Ask for what you want. You just might get it. You can tie up financial deals or wrap up details related to a job. Could be a new job — could be an old job.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): With the Sun, Jupiter and retrograde Mercury in your sign, life is exhausting. That’s why you will welcome opportunities to work behind the scenes or work alone and hide. (You need a breather.) Take some time to contemplate the fact that “time is the stuff life is made of.”

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): A conversation with a female acquaintance will be meaningful. In fact, this person might influence you to change your goals or expand them and reach for the stars. Possibly, you will have this influence on someone else. (It’s a two-way street.)

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): There’s a chance that personal details about your private life will be public, especially in the eyes of authority figures like bosses, parents, teachers, VIPs and the police. (Does this make you squirm? If so — at least close the drapes.)

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Do something different today. Vary your routine because you need a change of scenery. You want adventure, fresh experiences and hopefully, a chance to meet someone new, exciting and thrilling. (Especially someone who will pick up the tab.)

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): It will benefit you to stay on top of debt, taxes, bills, insurance matters and inheritances. You don’t need to focus on this all day, but at least devote some attention so that you can make some sense of it and send it in a direction that will benefit you.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Because the Moon is opposite your sign, the energy is such that you have to compromise and be tolerant of others. You actually have to go more than halfway. Yeah, no fair, I know. But this is how it works. In two weeks, others will kowtow to you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Make a To Do list and tackle as much as you can because it will please you to be better organized. At the end of the day, if you have accomplished a lot of practical tasks, you’ll love yourself. Get better organized and at the same time, do something to buff your bod.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): TGIF! You want to play. This is a great day for a date lunch, a date dinner or a late, late date. Socialize. Enjoy sports events. Schmooze with your pals. Involve yourself with children’s activities. Many will enjoy the arts, the entertainment world and the hospitality industry.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Home, family and your domestic world are your primary focus. Conversations with a female relative could be significant. Some of you might want to just cocoon at home and curl up with your favorite book, TV program and fun food.

If July 5 is Your Birthday: Actress Edie Falco (1963) shares your birthday. You lead an interesting, fascinating life because you are both interesting and interested. You love variety and you like characters. You also know how to move when opportunity presents itself. No matter what you do, you express yourself with flair and verve. This year something you’ve been involved with for about nine years will end or diminish to make room for something new.
