Georgia Nicols horoscopes for June 18

Updated: June 29, 2013 8:30PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: We have the all clear to do business and make important decisions until 10:45 p.m. The Moon is in Scorpio.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): Today you will focus on your most personal relationships and, for various reasons, you might be a bit more emotional than usual. But hey, these people and related situations are important to you. (You might even feel jealous.) Guard against intense confrontations. Who needs this? Not you.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Because you have strong feelings of duty and obligation to others where you feel you have to serve them, you might feel resentful or critical. This is understandable. Nevertheless, watch out for this today. Nobody likes a martyr. Everyone loves a winner!

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): This is a good day because you feel affection to others and you’re going to show it. Naturally, others will respond warmly to you because everyone wants to feel loved. Romance will be emotional, as will sports and fun times with children.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): It will please you if you get a chance to cocoon at home because you need the secure comfort of being able to relax in familiar surroundings. Family conversations, especially with a female relative, could be significant.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Communications with others will be interesting and meaningful because you’re not interested in superficial chitchat. Oh no. You want to get down to the nitty-gritty of things. (“How’s your sex life?”) My advice: Think before you speak. Think twice.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): It’s easy to identify with your possessions and even your earnings and your assets. You might find yourself checking your bank balance— that sort of thing. You want to feel secure, that’s all. And don’t we all. (Money talks, but it doesn’t always make sense.)

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): The Moon is in your sign, which can make you a bit luckier than all the other signs, but it also can make you a bit more emotional. (Did you know Steve Jobs used to cry in board meetings?) On the upside, you’re ready to give someone sympathy and understanding.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Seclusion, privacy or solitude in beautiful surroundings will please you because you feel a need to withdraw from the busy-ness of the world around you. This is probably a good thing. Act on this impulse to restore and replenish yourself.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Schmoozing with friends will please you, especially female acquaintances. Share your hopes for the future with others because their feedback will help you. Someone might even encourage you to modify your goals. It’s all information that you can use.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Be advised that private information about your personal life could be public. Furthermore, the people who might be aware of this information are authority figures like bosses, parents, teachers, VIPs and even the police.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Because you want a change of scenery and a little adventure, do something different. Go someplace you’ve never been before. Visit parks, university campuses, gorgeous architectural buildings, museums and libraries.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Make friends with your bank account because the Moon is highlighting shared income, shared wealth, jointly held possessions, taxes, debt, inheritances and insurance matters. In other words, what you own is tied up with someone else. Make sure you know what’s going on so you’re on top of things.

If June 18 is Your Birthday: Movie critic Roger Ebert (1942-2013) shares your birthday. You have excellent money savvy and frequently work behind the scenes to achieve what you want. Externally, you have charm and obvious talents. Whatever you do, whether you intend to or not, you influence others. You are an excellent parent because you offer both playful qualities plus structure. In the year ahead, an important choice will arise. Choose wisely.
