Georgia Nicols horoscopes for May 20

Updated: June 10, 2013 7:09PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. After that, the Moon moves from Virgo and Libra.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): You’ll meet new people and probably be filled with brilliant new ideas because today is bursting with possibilities. You will think out-of-the-box, which is why you might solve problems and discover solutions to something that stymied you in the past.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): It’s possible that you will think up new ways of earning money today. Some of you might discover a new job. Others will be excited to learn something related to technology or they might buy a new computer or something high-tech.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): You won’t want to sit tight with boring routine today. Oh no! Quite the opposite. You feel impulsive and ready for change. In fact, you will actively seek out new experiences and new friendships. Ask yourself, “What can I do to make this day spectacular?”

CANCER (June 21-July 22): Today is the perfect day to discover answers and solutions to old problems. It’s almost as if — in a flash — they are suddenly revealed to you. “Swami knows all, sees all and tells all.” Because so much is percolating at a subconscious level, you will feel restless.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): You will have fascinating experiences dealing with groups today. You might meet a real character or someone in a group might say something that surprises you. Someone might even influence you to change your goals.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Discussions with authority figures will surprise you. They won’t go as you might expect. Others could be pleased with your input. Whatever happens might catch you off guard. Nevertheless, don’t hesitate to suggest improvements .

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Travel opportunities might fall in your lap today. Similarly, you might have a sudden opportunity to take a course or get further training or go back to school. Opportunities with publishing, the media, medicine and the law also exist.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): You’ll be inventive and resourceful in deciding how to share jointly held possessions or deal with inheritances, insurance matters, debt, mortgages and anything you share with others. You might also be surprised to find out someone is giving you something.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): You might see a different side of someone you thought you knew well today. Furthermore, you might also be more tolerant of someone you might normally avoid. (“They’re too weird.”) In fact, today you’re curious about curious people.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): You might come up with genius-like suggestions at work today, especially about how to make improvements. You might also be caught off guard by new technology or something that is psychobabble and mind-boggling.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): New flirtations and love at first sight might occur for some of you. Others will be slack-jawed by an invitation to an exciting event. Sports will have surprising outcomes. However, parents should be extra vigilant because this could be an accident-prone day for your kids.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): You can be inventive with house repairs today because you see new solutions to old problems. Spontaneous discussions will be exciting and different. Someone unusual might suddenly visit you at home. You might also get a new high-tech toy for home or family.

If MAY 20 is Your Birthday: Actress/singer Cher (1946) shares your birthday today. You live an exciting life because you do a lot. You don’t sit around, you go out to confront life. You examine your environment and probe new ideas, plus you love to travel. You’re enthusiastic and curious, which is why you jump from one project to the next. Work hard to build or construct something in the year ahead. Your rewards will soon follow.
