Georgia Nicols horoscopes for May 6

Updated: May 19, 2013 9:31PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: We have the all clear today to do business and make important decisions. The Moon is in Aries.

◆ARIES (March 21-April 19): This week starts off with some wild, electric energy. You’re restless, impulsive and in true Aries form. Something will make you act irrationally or do something on a moment’s notice. A female friend or a situation at home might surprise you.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): You feel restless today. Something going on behind the scenes or perhaps something in the back of your mind is distracting you from whatever is at hand. It sort of makes you want to run away and join the circus. Life will be calmer and easier tomorrow.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Meetings, conferences and classes might be canceled today. Interaction with a female friend or acquaintance will probably bring a few surprises. Some of you might meet someone, likely a female, who is unusual in some way.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): Discussions with authority figures will surprise you today. It could be a pleasant surprise or quite the opposite. Don’t quit your day job even if you feel defiant and rebellious. This is something out of the blue.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Expect that something unusual might happen with your travel plans. They might be canceled, delayed or changed. Alternatively, an unexpected trip or an invitation to go somewhere might fall in your lap. Similar surprises connected to higher education, training, publishing and the media are also likely.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Keep an eye on your bank account and your debtors today because something unexpected might happen. The posse might be after you today. Surprises regarding inheritances, shared property, taxes and debt might please or displease. (It’s hard to say.)

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Partners and close friends are a bit off-the-wall today. You will be surprised by something that they say or do. Perhaps they want more independence or perhaps you do? Many relationships will be renegotiated today so that people feel they are on an even playing field.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Your work routine will be interrupted today. Cancellations, delays, staff shortages, computer crashes and rebellious co-workers are just a few things that will send your day sideways in a New York minute.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): This is an accident-prone day for your kids or children you work with, so be extra vigilant. Similarly, sports-related accidents or changes to sports events might occur. Romance is a pretty bumpy road today as well.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Something unexpected will occur with your home routine today or perhaps with a female relative. Small appliances might break down or minor breakages could occur. Domestic arguments might suddenly flare up. Just keep your cool.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): This is an accident-prone day for your sign, so pay attention to everything you say and do. It’s also hard for you to keep your concentration on one thing today because your mind keeps jumping from subject to subject.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Keep an eye on your money and cash flow today because you might find money or you might lose money. Similarly, your possessions might suddenly be broken or stolen because something unpredictable can happen. If shopping, count your change and keep your receipts. Ka-ching!

If MAY 6 is Your Birthday: Baseball player Willie Mays (1931) shares your birthday today. You know how to work with fantasy and imagination. You are sensitive and aware of the feelings of others. Personally, you constantly work to overcome obstacles. You like to take the side of the underdog and champion their cause. Your friendly exterior actually hides a complex personality. An exciting new cycle will begin for you in the coming year. Open any door!
