Georgia Nicols horoscopes for April 22

Updated: April 27, 2013 10:44PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: Caution: Avoid shopping or making important decisions for the rest of the day. The Moon is in Virgo.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): Expect shortages and delays on the job today. In fact, your general efficiency at whatever task you do will suffer. But you needn’t suffer. Just accept this and go with the flow. Finances might also be disappointing. (What? No money?)

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Three planets are in your sign: the Sun, Venus and Mars. However, stern Saturn opposes them. (Gulp) This is a poor day to make important decisions with others. Authority figures or anyone who is older might oppose you.

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20): You might feel alone or cut off from others today. Possibly, you are building defenses that actually keep others out. This is always tricky because a fence is both a protection and a barrier. Do you really have to do this?

CANCER (June 21-July 22): You might feel adrift today, especially mentally. Not to worry, this is a brief influence. However, your responsibilities with children could impact your involvement with groups. You might not have the freedom to engage with others as much as you’d like.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): This is a challenging day to deal with authority figures or anyone who is older or more experienced. Some of you will have increased responsibilities with parents that you can’t ignore. There’s a flaky element to the whole day because it’s a Moon Alert day.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): You feel indecisive today and not sure of what direction to take or where to go. In addition, relations with people from different cultures or other countries seem squelched or difficult. Don’t worry about this because is just temporary.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): This is a poor day for finances. You might feel broke. Or you might have difficulty in accessing your money or taking care of something you own. Whatever the case, this is a poor day to make important decisions, so you just have to cruise and hold your breath.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): This is not an ideal day to work with partners and close friends because the energy is blocked. You’ll notice people are uncooperative or hesitant. Your only recourse is to be patient and not expect too much of others.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): It might be difficult to get the cooperation of co-workers at work today because people are a bit standoffish or stilted. (Not stunted; there’s a difference.) Just go with the flow and do the best you can but avoid important decisions.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): This is a playful time for you, and you might be focused on children, or the arts. Nevertheless, someone or something is a wet blanket. Be aware that travel plans and matters related to publishing, medicine, the law and higher education are unstable.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Dealings with parents and authority figures might be difficult today. People are not cooperative or receptive to what you suggest. In fact, they could be standoffish or create obstacles for you. Meanwhile, issues regarding banking, taxes and debt could be confusing.

PISCES (FEB. 19-MARCH 20): Someone older or more experienced might hold you back today or be critical of your efforts. Don’t take this seriously but, of course, you can’t ignore it. Play it very low-key. Don’t worry about the little things, just focus on the big things.

If APRIL 22 is Your Birthday: Actress Amber Heard (1986) shares your birthday today. You embrace two different qualities: you are casual and down to earth, yet you are an imposing person who makes a strong impression on others. Many of you establish systems of ideas and organizations because you have the skill to stage events. Despite this, you are often a loner. A major change might take place in the coming year, perhaps as significant as what took place around 2004.
