Georgia Nicols horoscopes for April 16

Updated: May 5, 2013 8:26PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: We have the all clear today to do business and make important decisions. The Moon is in Cancer.

◆ARIES (March 21-April 19): Your home routine might be disrupted today, but it could be an “obstacle blessing.” (When something bad happens and something good comes out of it.) Small appliances might break down, minor breakages could occur.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): This is a mildly accident-prone day, so pay attention to what you say and do. However, by contrast, it’s a good day to sit down with others, especially people who are older or more experienced, and make long-range plans.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Be careful with money today. Keep your receipts. Count your change. Double-check bank accounts. You might find money; you might lose money. This is also a good day to make long-range plans concerning financial matters and your job.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): You might feel rebellious or restless today because the Moon in your sign is at odds with unpredictable Uranus. However, it’s working nicely with stern Saturn, which means you will want to accomplish a lot. Despite these interruptions, you will work with diligence and focus. (A day of contradictions.)

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): You feel restless today and you might not know why. It’s not important. Be reassured that by tomorrow you’ll feel just dandy. Behind-the-scenes conversations with an older family member might help you solidify your home scene. It never hurts to get a little help.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Discussions with an older female might be helpful to you today. Someone more experienced can benefit you. In fact, you might need this because of a few surprises related to debt, taxes, bank accounts and shared property. (Oops.)

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): People might be talking about you today. In fact, this could relate to private details about your personal life. (Yikes.) You might encounter difficulties with a partner or a surprise from a friend. However, this is a good day to make long-range plans about money and earnings.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Travel plans will likely be interrupted or changed. Similarly, schedules related to higher education will also be interrupted. Nevertheless, this is a good day to think about going to school in the future and making plans for this, or making travel plans.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Check your bank account, because a few surprises might await you today. Find out how much money you haven’t got. Surprises or disputes about shared property, taxes and debt might arise. However, because of this, you might make long-range plans that are solid and supportive.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19: Disputes with friends and partners are likely at some point today. No worries. In the bigger picture, you can focus on making long-term goals, especially with a friend or perhaps even with a group. Serious discussions will outweigh the disruptions.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Interruptions at work — computer crashes, power outages, staff shortages and fire drills — will occur today. Despite that however, you could have a sensible, productive day with your boss or talk to someone in a position of authority about how to steer things in the future.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Parents and people who work with children should be extra-vigilant because this is an accident-prone day for your kids. On the upside, it’s a good day to sit down with others and discuss future vacations, sports and the care and education of children.

If APRIL 16 is Your Birthday: Pope Benedict XVI, Pope Emeritus (1927) shares your birthday. You have a great sense of humor and are obliging with others. You’re loyal to friends and family, nevertheless, you have to follow your fantasies and dreams. Other people might dismiss your dreams but you shouldn’t. They’re real. Good news. Your year ahead might be one of the most powerful years of your life. (Dream big!)
