Georgia Nicols horoscopes for April 13

Updated: May 5, 2013 8:26PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. After that, the Moon moves from Taurus into Gemini.

◆ARIES (March 21-April 19): Your mind is busy today because you’re full of ideas and eager to communicate to others. This is a good day for negotiations and contracts, but check with the Moon Alert. Discussions with siblings will be good but briefly confusing.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): You’re focused on money, purchases, cash flow and even your self-image today. Basically, this is a pretty smooth day. However, there is an element of confusion toward the end of the day, so be careful if you are nervous about spending money.

GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20): The Moon in your sign today makes you a bit luckier than the other signs. Plus you want to schmooze more than ever! Make some plans to socialize because you’ve got energy to burn and you want to get out and see people and be seen.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): All this high viz. attention might be getting to you, which is why you like the idea of hiding out somewhere today. Work alone or behind the scenes and take a moment to catch your breath. (A woman’s place is in the house — and the senate.)

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): A discussion with a female friend could be significant today. This discussion could inspire you to expand your goals or pursue your dreams with more confidence. Of course, you could go the other way; one never knows.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Hmmm. what’s this? Private details about your personal life might be public today, especially in the eyes of bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs. (Actually, this includes the police as well.) You might want to do some damage control.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): You feel restless today. You want a change of scenery or a little adventure — something. At the very least, go for a drive or meet friends at an ethnic restaurant for dinner. Or perhaps you might invite someone you normally don’t see to your home?

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Since you’re working so hard to get better organized right now, it’s good to stay on top of bills, taxes, inheritances and anything to do with a shared property. Don’t let this stuff slide. Do whatever you can to be in control of your debt and your cash flow.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Because today’s Moon is directly opposite your sign, you will have to go more than halfway when dealing with others. This just means you have to be tolerant and patient with others. Consider it an opportunity to practice these sterling qualities.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Take a few minutes to do some extra tidying up today whether at home or at work. You hate waste and this is what can happen when things get too messy, right? Do what you can to reduce the clutter in your life.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): This is a playful day! And it’s Saturday! Make plans to socialize with others. You might want to participate in or watch sports events. Contact siblings and neighbors for casual get-togethers. Do something that gives you pleasure and makes you laugh.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): You might want to cocoon at home today and this evening because it just feels good. Conversations with family members, especially females, will be significant. You’ve been watching your cash flow and maybe you want to save a little money just watching TV tonight.

If APRIL 13 is Your Birthday: Actress/comedian Caroline Rhea (1964) shares your birthday today. You have an inquiring mind, which you use to pioneer new ideas You welcome unconventional, modern approaches to whatever interests you. You’re strong-willed and sometimes eccentric as well. (You do value your private life.) Nevertheless, you are outspoken about things. In your year ahead, a major change will take place, perhaps as significant as something that occurred around 2004.
