Georgia Nicols horoscopes for April 10

Updated: May 5, 2013 8:25PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: Avoid shopping or making major decisions from 11:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. The New Moon occurs in Aries at 4:36 a.m.

◆ARIES (March 21-April 19): Each New Moon is a chance to make a resolution. This New Moon (the only one in your sign all year) is your chance to look in the mirror and see how you can create a better impression on the world. New shades? New haircut? New chapeau?

◆TAURUS (April 20-May 20): This is a good day to get in touch with your inner world. It’s good to know what values are meaningful guidelines for you. These thoughts are stirred up by the New Moon taking place in a hidden part of your chart today.

◆GEMINI (May 21-June 20): This is the only New Moon all year that urges you to focus on friendships. Do you hang out with quality people? Are you happy with the friends you have? Of course, the key to having friends is to be friendly. Do you make a first move or wait for others?

◆CANCER (June 21-July 22): The only New Moon at the top of your chart all year is occurring today. That’s why this is the perfect time to ponder your life direction in general. Are you headed where you want to go? Do you know where you want to be in five years?

◆LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): What further education or training might you get that will improve your job success and enhance your life? Today’s New Moon is the perfect time to think about how to be better prepared for anything in life. (Did you bring a bag lunch?)

◆VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): This is an intense New Moon, perhaps the most powerful all year for your sign. It’s the perfect time to think about how you can reduce your debt and improve all your relationships related to shared property and the joint ownership of anything.

◆LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): The only New Moon opposite your sign all year is taking place today. Naturally, this draws your focus to significant relationships — partners and close friendships. What can you do to improve these relationships? (For a relationship to be successful, you must be as good for your partner is he or she is for you.)

◆SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): This is a useful New Moon for you. Why? Because it’s the only New Moon all year that urges you to become more efficient at work and your job. Therefore, let yourself be galvanized into action to make improvements to your health and your work.

◆SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): This is your chance to get in touch with your urge to play and be creative. Today’s New Moon begs this question: Do you balance your work, obligation and duty with enough fun, pleasure and creative activity? Think about this.

◆CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Today’s New Moon is a strong focus on home, family and your private life. What can you do to improve your home? What can you do to improve your relationships with family? Even just thinking about this will benefit you.

◆AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): This is the perfect day to ponder your style of expression. Do you feel others understand you? Do you truly hear others? Today’s New Moon urges you to be clear in all your communications, especially with siblings, neighbors and relatives.

◆PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): In a way, this is a money day. Why? Because today’s New Moon is the only New Moon all year urging you to clean up your act when it comes to how you earn your money, how you spend your money and how you save your money. (Something to think about.)

If April 10 is Your Birthday: Journalist/diplomat Pamela Wallin (1953) shares your birthday today. Above all you have courage. You believe in yourself and your ideas. Although you take risks, you are not foolhardy. Many of you love your job, which is why it is important to find your true calling. Whatever it is, it must give you independence, although you do value family. Your year ahead will focus primarily on partnership and close friendships.
