Georgia Nicols horoscopes for March 2

Updated: March 7, 2013 8:57PM

ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: We have the all clear today to do business and make important decisions. The Moon is in Scorpio.

◆ARIES (March 21-April 19): Today’s Scorpio Moon will make your experiences emotionally intense. One of the things you might feel intense about is something you have owned for a long time. You might feel territorial, perhaps because it holds memories from the past for you. (Ah yes.)

◆TAURUS (April 20-May 20): If you have conflicts with others today, especially partners and close friends, they will be much more emotional than usual. Therefore, guard against knee-jerk reactions to others, especially confrontations with females. The Moon is opposite your sign today so — steady as she goes.

◆GEMINI (May 21-June 20): You might have to sacrifice your comforts for those of others today because someone will require your services. Or perhaps you just have to put a lot of energy into getting better organized. Work first; relax later.

◆CANCER (June 21-July 22): Romance is surprisingly powerful today, especially emotionally speaking. You might feel unusually protective or nurturing to a loved one, and certainly to a child. (But for many of you, this child might be 6-1, 210 pounds with a beer gut.) Oh well.

◆LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): You might seek out the company of family members today because you need to feel comforted by the company of others. Childhood memories might be a factor. Or you might become more aware of some of your childhood responses to things. (It’s called growing up.)

◆VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): You might feel a strong need to talk to others today or be in the company of others. You feel social as well as curious. This is why conversations with others will probably be deeper and more frank and not just about the weather.

◆LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Today you will be more concerned with your possessions and the things you own and whatever surrounds you. Sometimes we need to be around what is familiar and other times we don’t care. But today, you care. Take care of whatever you own. (It will please you.)

◆SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Every month for two days, the Moon is in your sign. Today is one of those days. What does this mean? It means you are more emotional than usual, but it also means you are a bit luckier than usual as well. Ask the universe for a favor.

◆SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Today you prefer to work alone or behind the scenes because you feel a need for privacy or a chance to take a breather from the busyness of your daily surroundings. Let’s face it, the pressure at home has been getting a bit insane lately. But hopefully, for a good reason.

◆CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Talk to others about your hopes and dreams for the future. This is a good day to mull over your future goals. You don’t have to chisel them out in stone. Just think about them. Discuss them with others to get their feedback.

◆AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Keep your eyes open because you’re focused on money and cash flow right now and today, in particular, some details of your private life might become public. (Big oops?) If you want to play your cards close to your heaving bosom, be very aware of what is going on around you.

◆PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Do something different today because you want a change of scenery. Go someplace you’ve never been before. Take a different route to or from work. Do something different for lunch. Talk to people from other backgrounds and different countries.

IF MARCH 2 IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: Singer/actor/humanitarian Jon Bon Jovi (1962) shares your birthday today. You have an unswerving loyalty to loved ones and whatever your passion is. You also have an amazing imagination. When you are working on an important project, you are totally focused on it. You’re extremely persistent and adhere strongly to your own value system. You’re not a quitter. Your year ahead will focus primarily on partnerships and close friendships.
