ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: Moon Alert: After 3 a.m. today we have the all clear to do business (whether you spend $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions. The moon is in Capricorn.

◆ARIES (March 21-April 19): Expect difficulties with authority figures, especially parents and bosses, early this morning. Do what you can to keep the peace at breakfast. Good day for banking and making plans about shared property.

◆TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Travel plans will change this morning. Expect delays, cancellations or detours. Meanwhile, serious conversations with others could yield practical results. People are interested in forecasting and strategizing for the future. (It’s always good to have a plan.)

◆GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Make friends with your bank account because you might be overdrawn. A rude awakening concerning inheritances, other people’s money, shared property or taxes and debt might take place this morning.

◆CANCER (June 21-July 22): People’s feathers will get ruffled very easily this morning. Tread lightly. (Yeah, yeah. It’s hard to keep your shirt on when you’re trying to get something off your chest.) But discussions about plans, especially concerning vacations, sports and children will go well.

◆LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Expect delays at work early this morning. Computer crashes, power outages, staff shortages, canceled appointments and general surprises will throw you off your routine. Nevertheless, later in the day, you make things run smoothly again.

◆VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Be patient with children at breakfast this morning because everything is topsy-turvy. Cancellations and unexpected surprises can make tempers fray. Ditto for romantic relationships. Late in the day, practical discussions will give you a warm feeling.

◆LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Breakfast discussions might be tense this morning, especially with parents. And bosses might not be happy when you arrive at work. (Oh dear. Run away!) Fear not because this is just a temporary dark cloud on your horizon. Later in the day, you’re taking care of business.

◆SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): This is an accident-prone morning for your sign. Pay attention to what you say and do. Take precautions getting to work so that you can arrive safely. Detours and delays are likely. Late in the day, you can beautifully concentrate on mental work.

◆SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Keep an eye on your money and possessions this morning because you might break or lose something. (Irritating way to start your day. Grrr.) You might be late getting to work.

◆CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Don’t be too hasty, especially this morning. Knee-jerk reactions are par for the course because you will feel impatient with delays or anyone getting in your way. Late in the day, you will enjoy sitting down with groups to make long-range plans.

◆AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): You start this day feeling restless and a bit nervous. You want to make changes. You have the feeling you have to do something but you don’t want anyone crossing your path! Just settle down because by late in the day, you will be calm and ready to do research.

◆PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Friends will surprise you this morning. People say unexpected things or just get in your face. (Could be a tad frustrating.) Meetings might be canceled. Late in the day, someone older will have valuable advice for you. (That’s something.) You might as well listen because you don’t have to reinvent the wheel, do you?

IF JANUARY 10 IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: Musician Rod Stewart (1945) shares your birthday today. You are a realist and can be blunt if that’s what it takes to get the job done. But you are a straight shooter and you’re honest. You don’t operate on a double standard. You can lead but you can also follow. Good news! Your year ahead might be one of the most powerful years of your life. Dream big!
