ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: We have the all clear today to shop (whether you spend $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions. The New Moon occurs in Virgo at 9:11 p.m. today.

◆ARIES (March 21-April 19): As weird as this might sound, this is the best day all year for you to think about what you can do to improve your health. Just take a moment and think about three things you can start to do to help yourself feel better, be happier and live longer.

◆TAURUS (April 20-May 20): The New Moon today urges you to think about the balance in your life between work and play. You are a pleasure-loving sign but you are also hard-working. What is the balance in your life? Do you have enough leisure time for pleasure and creative activities?

◆GEMINI (May 21-June 20): What can you do to improve where you live as well as your relationships with family members? This is the perfect question for you to consider today. If you have any ideas, be specific.

◆CANCER (June 21-July 22): Every New Moon is a chance to make resolutions. These opportunities come once a month. Each month they are different. Your New Moon opportunities are all about communications with others.

◆LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Today is the only New Moon all year that offers you a chance to make resolutions about how to better handle your finances. What can you do to cut costs, boost earnings and have a clearer picture of what is happening?

◆VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Today the only New Moon in your sign all year is taking place, which means it’s your chance to take a realistic look in the mirror and assess your image. What kind of impression do you create on your world? What can you do to improve it? What about your style of relating to others?

◆LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Everybody believes in something even if it is the belief that they don’t believe. What are your beliefs? What ideas do you embrace when the power goes out? Think about values that are important as guidelines in your life. Acknowledge them.

◆SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Today’s New Moon is your chance to make resolutions about friendships. The big thing is that your friends influence you. No question. They influence your mindset and your mind is what makes your decisions, guides your life and shapes your future.

◆SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): This could be perhaps the best day of the year for you to give serious thought to your life direction in general. Are you headed where you want to go? Do you have a plan about where you want to go? The more specific your plan is, the more likely it will materialize.

◆CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Ask yourself what education or training would improve how you do your job and enhance your quality of life. Or maybe you can travel somewhere that will please you and enrich your experience of the world? Anyone? Bueller?

◆AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): This is a practical New Moon for you. What can you do to reduce your debt and secure loose ends by having a will drawn up or wrapping up disputes about shared property or insurance matters? Make a decision to pick one thing and strike it off the list.

◆PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): The only New Moon all year that is opposite your sign is giving you the chance to think about how you can improve your closest relationships. Remember: For a relationship to be successful, you must be as good for your partner as he or she is for you.

IF SEPTEMBER 15 IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: British royal Prince Harry (1984) shares your birthday today. You are often shy when young. However, when older, this disappears and you become quite expansive! You like to carve out your own niche in the world and become familiar with it. You enjoy life fully and you like having the wealth to be able to do so. In the year ahead, friendships and partnerships will be a strong focus for you.
