ALL SIGNS MOON ALERT: We have the “all clear” today to shop (whether you spend $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions. The Moon is in Virgo.

◆ARIES (March 21-April 19): You feel inspired to do the highest good today because your ideals are aroused and your imagination is greatly heightened. This is a great day for writing, especially fantasy.

◆TAURUS (April 20-May 20): You have excellent taste and appreciation for beautiful things, especially fine wood, silver, pewter and gold. Today you’ll be tempted to spend money on something elegant and possibly unattainable.

◆GEMINI (May 21-June 20): You have a warm feeling in your tummy about yourself, your surroundings and your future. You’ll find it rewarding if you can encourage others to work with you to make something better or help someone.

◆CANCER (June 21-July 22): A particular religion, ideology or philosophy might intrigue you today. You’ll be interested in “big ideas” and profound thinking if you have the good fortune to engage in this kind of conversation with someone.

◆LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): You’ll be edified and rewarded if you have a chance to work with others to improve the quality of life for someone or a group of people. You want to join the efforts of others to make the world a better place.

◆VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): People view you as a leader or someone worthy of their respect. Perhaps the idealism of a friend or partner will encourage you to accept this role with dignity and use it for the benefit of everyone, yourself included.

◆LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Your ambition to travel or explore avenues in publishing, the media, higher education, medicine and the law are dreamy! You have high hopes. Visit beautiful places today because your sense of aesthetics is refined and super dialed in.

◆SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Someone might be wonderfully generous to you today. However, in turn, if you are deciding how to share something or making important decisions about an inheritance or jointly-held property, you might go overboard. Protect your own best interests.

◆SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): It’s important to be grounded and real in your discussions with partners and close friends today. That’s because it’s easy to kid yourself or expect too much from yourself or others. If you think someone is stringing you along, you’re probably right. (Gulp.)

◆CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Wonderful job opportunities might come your way today. However, do read the fine print because something might look better than it is. Be realistic in deadlines that you agree to because it’s easy to think something is a walk in the park when it might really be a test in the Fire Swamp with Buttercup and Westley.

◆AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Flirtations and love affairs might seem too good to be true. (Perhaps they are?) Your playful demeanor and desire for fun and rock ’n’ roll might meet with objections from others. (“Too much fun prohibited!”) Don’t take foolish risks. Listen to your inner voice.

◆PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Be realistic in your expectations of family members. It’s so easy for you to fall into idealistic, pie-in-the-sky thinking, isn’t it? Remember that everyone puts their pants on one leg at a time just like you. (But they take their shoes off first.)

IF JUNE 25 IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: Canadian senator, humanitarian, author and retired general, Romeo Dallaire (1946) shares your birthday. You are imaginative and original. You’re also aware of what you’re dealing with, including your limitations, which is why you succeed. However, it’s important for you to have the respect and support of others. In turn, you are nurturing to others as well. In the year ahead, something you’ve been involved with for nine years will end or diminish to make room for something new.
