Creamy Banana Pudding

MAKES 10 SERVINGS
1½ cups cream cheese, softened 1½ (5.1-ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix 4½ cups milk, divided 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract 1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed 1 (12-ounce) package vanilla wafers, coarsely crushed 4 bananas, sliced Optional: additional whipped topping and vanilla wafers (broken into large pieces)
Whisk whipped topping into pudding mixture. Layer crushed vanilla wafers, banana slices and pudding mixture into 4-quart casserole dish. If desired, top with additional whipped topping and vanilla wafers.
Chill at least 4 hours before serving.
