The 6th annual “Hot Chocolate Chicago” 15/5k race through downtown Chicago is set for Nov. 3 in Grant Park. Proceeds benefit local Ronald McDonald House charities. In addition to the race, the Hot Chocolate Runner’s Expo features the 900-gallon Guinness Book of World Record’s biggest mug of hot chocolate. In exchange for a donation, visitors are invited to “make wishes” by tossing marshmallows into the giant mug. Also at the expo: chocolate-themed goodies, complimentary chocolate-dipped marshmallows and a family area with inflatable bounce house. The 5k race kicks off at 7 a.m.; the 15k at 7:45 a.m. and a Walk for Little City at 8:30 a.m. Races start and end in Grant Park. — Miriam Di Nunzio
