From simple to simply scrumptious other s’more concoctions found around town include:

Artisan Table located in Chicago Marriott Naperville, 1801 N. Naperville, Naperville. Chef Jourdan Wilhoit whipped up a s’more parfait (layers of graham cracker crumbs, rich chocolate mousse, marshmallow creme, topped with a honey meringue— made with the hotel’s rooftop bee honey— and a chocolate dipped graham cracker, $6) for the summer menu. www.marriott.com

Cucina Paradiso, 814 North, Oak Park. The restaurant serves up a deconstructed s’more with warm chocolate sauce, oven-toasted marshmallows and graham crackers, $8. Available through August. www.cucinaoakpark.com

FliP Crepes. 131 N. Clinton. The FliP s’more sweet crepe is made with chocolate, graham, Butterfinger and marshmallows, $5.75. Additional toppings are available for an extra charge. www.flipcrepes.com

Katherine Anne Confections, 2745 W. Armitage. The salted caramel s’more is a chocolate-covered treat (graham cracker from Beurrage bakery, layered with salted caramel ganache, topped a toasted vanilla black pepper marshmallow, then dipped in bittersweet chocolate, garnished with smoked Maldon sea salt, $5 each). Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club, 3700 N. Halsted. Check out the s’more tart (semi-sweet dark chocolate, toasted mini marshmallows, graham cracker crust, served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream with chocolate shavings, $7). Available through August. www.kitkatchicago.com

Magnolia Bakery, 108 N. State. S’more cupcakes (honey graham cupcake, chocolate filling with meringue icing, $3.50) are the featured item of the month for August. www.magnoliabakery.com

Mercat a la Planxa, 638 S. Michigan. Looking for something close to, but not quite a s’more try Chef Garces’ croquettes de xocolata (milk chocolate croquette, banana marshmallow, rosemary-infused caramel and Aburquina olive oil, $10). www.mercatchicago.com.

Standard Market Bakery, 333 E. Ogden, Westmont. Offers a family-size s’more pie (layer of fudge, creamy chocolate filling, marshmallows and whipped cream in a graham cracker crust and chocolate chips, $12.99). Available through summer. www.standardmarket.com

Stout Barrel House and Galley, 642 N. Clark. The s’more whoopie (graham chocolate cupcake layer, marshmallow, Nutella peanut butter whip, graham chocolate cupcake layer, finished with chocolate ganache, toasted graham and grey sea salt, $8) is another variation of the snack. Vanille Patisserie in the French Market, 131 N. Clinton. Anything French sounds fancy including the gourmet graham bar (graham cracker streusel, graham cracker financier—sponge cake, chocolate ganache, dark glaze with house made marshmallow, $5.25). Zed451, 739 N. Clark. Pastry Chef Kate Milashus’ s’more pie (graham cracker crust, bittersweet chocolate ganache and house made marshmallow) currently served with peanut butter-banana ice cream and curry candied peanuts (these additions change seasonal), $9. www.zed451.com
