½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

1 cup water

½ cup ketchup

¼ cup brown sugar

¼ cup vinegar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 large onion, chopped

½ green pepper, cut into strips and halved

3 carrots, sliced
