This Thanksgiving Day, 47 million turkeys, amounting to 736 million pounds of turkey, will be eaten, according to the non-profit Partnership for Food Safety Education. HoneyBaked Hams has estimated that the company annually sells 50 times more hams for Thanksgiving than it does during an average week (and even more leading up to Christmas).
