Standard Market plans farm dinner

Updated: October 14, 2012 12:31PM

Enjoy an evening of food and fun on the farm.

Participants will meet at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at Standard Market, where they’ll board a bus to Q7Ranch in Marengo.

After a brief tour of the farm — with its grass-fed steers roaming about — there will be a multi-course dinner. It will include pairings with wines from Twomey Cellars and Silver Oak (non-alcoholic beverages also available). Then it’s back on the bus, which is expected to return to Standard Market at 9 p.m.

The main course is a 21-day, dry-aged Q7 Ranch bone-in ribeye, served with baby heirloom carrots and balsamic caramelized cipollini onions. That will be paired with Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet.

The cost for the total package is $150. To make a reservation, email

Standard Market is at 333 E. Ogden Ave., Westmont.
