Go pink to help out

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and a host of products are available and support of the cause. So, think pink when shopping.

Here's a sample of what's available:

Celestial Seasonings shares in the support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month with two new green tea flavors in special packaging.

Graphics were created by artists and breast cancer survivors Dagmar Fehlau, who designed the cranberry pomegranate box, and Heidi Kummli, whose transfer art of one of her original beaded tapestries is the front panel art of the tropical grapefruit green tea. The retails for $2.99 for a box of 20 tea bags.

Lean Cuisine Do Something for the Cure program includes in-store specially marked frozen entrees and designer lunch bags available for purchase at www.leancuisine.com. The bags are $9.95, and $5 from each sale will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Mars' parade of M&M candy-covered chocolates don dark and light pink coats in support of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Panera Bread is donating proceeds from the sale of its pink ribbon bagels to various breast cancer causes.

Sweet Leaf Tea will donate up to $10,000 of the proceeds from the sale of its specially designed Drink Pink bottles purchased in October to breast cancer research. The tea is available at Meijer stores.

Tic Tac will donate 5 cents for each Pink Ribbon Tic Tacs package sold to CancerCare.

Yoplait's Save the Lid program returns. During October, look for specially designed pink lids of Yoplait yogurts. Wash and mail pink lids only to: Save Lids to Save Lives, Box 420704, El Paso, Texas, 8852-0704. Ten cents from each lid will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Lids must be received by Dec. 31.
