Master the iPad at Moraine Valley
Moraine Valley Community College has added two sections of the Working with the iPad class.
The one-day classes will be 6 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday and on April 3 at 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills. The cost is $45.

PALOS HEIGHTS
Shepard to host trivia challenge
The speech team from Shepard High School, 13049 S. Ridgeland Ave, Palos Heights, will host its first Team Trivia Challenge 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Teams comprised of four to six players will compete for a first-place prize of $500. The entry fee is $20 per team member. Teams also can win prizes for second and third place.
FRANKFORT
Pankoke to visit Fiancee Couture
Kate Pankoke is wearing two hats these days. One is bridal gown designer and the other is “Project Runway” season 11 contestant.
She will be in Frankfort at Fiancee Couture, 53 Old Frankfort Way, with her Elaya Vaughn Trunk Show from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

ORLAND PARK
Township to host recycling event
Orland Township will host Sustainable Saturday 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Highway Department, 16125 S. Wolf Road, Orland Park.

Circus Boy brings family fun
The Blue Island Arts Alliance will host Bob “Circus Boy” Hunt for a family show from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Veterans Memorial Middle School, 12300 Greenwood Ave. Tickets are $5.

Girls’ track fundraiser
The Oak Lawn Community High School girls’ track and field team is gearing up for its second annual mattress sale fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the Spartan Gym at the school, 9400 Southwest Highway.

GSU social work student forum
Several panelists will be featured at an open forum, “Generating Hope: Struggles, Challenges, Change ... Facing Life in Spite of Our Past,” at 3 p.m. Monday in Engbretson Hall at Governors State University, 1 University Parkway, University Park.
The forum will focus on the challenges and struggles of people who have been incarcerated.
Sponsored by GSU’s Social Work Department and made possible by a grant from the GSU Intellectual Life Committee, the program is free.
