The beautiful face behind a controversial charity, actress, author and activist Jenny McCarthy hosted “Rescue Our Angels” to benefit Generation Rescue, a non-profit she helms. “When [my son] Evan was first diagnosed, I Googled autism and found Generation Rescue,” she said. “We’re the only organization that gives funds to low-income families to help treat their kids.” Held at Rockit Bar & Grill, the benefit raised $80,000 with silent auction items like a tour of the Playboy mansion and lunch with a Playmate — a nod to McCarthy’s past and upcoming July/August Playboy cover.
