Ronald McDonald, the mascot and Chief Happiness Officer of McDonald’s, celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Chicago Ronald McDonald House as well as the opening of the world’s largest location at 211 E. Grand St. on June 26. Co-chaired by Paul Huebener and Sheila Musolino, sportscaster Lou Canellis emceed the event. Musical guest KC and the Sunshine Band pumped out their hits at the Aragon Ballroom during a 90-minute set. Nearly 750 guests at the May 12 event netted $500,000 for the organization, proving that’s the way they like it...uh-huh, uh-huh.
