Stella Foster knows how to make an entrance: Honored at the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans’ 40th annual Dante Awards, the Sun-Times columnist — cloaked in a dramatic gold duster -- walked into a receiving line that was hundreds deep, delaying the start of the luncheon at Galleria Marchetti by nearly an hour. “We could have held this in Soldier Field today,” joked committee president Dominic DiFrisco, who added that Foster was chosen for her commitment to the truth. “Stella means ‘star’ in Italian, and she is truly our shining star.”
