Hours after President Barack Obama came out in favor of gay marriage Wednesday, his campaign sent out an email to supporters around the country asking them to stand with him on gay marriage — and to donate to his re-election campaign.
“Now help win this thing,” is the message supporters got after adding their name in support of his position.
Buzzfeed reported the campaign took in $1 million in the 90 minutes after Obama’s announcement.
