More than 3,000 spring blooming flowers will burst into magnificence at the annual Spring Flower Shows at the Chicago Park District’s conservatories.
The first to open is the show at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2931 N. Stockton, which runs Jan. 22 to May 8. The Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 N. Central, will open its show Jan. 29, and it also will continue through May 8.
“Our expert horticulturists have grown a wide variety of beautiful plants that will keep people in the spirit of spring while they wait for the weather to warm up,” said Tim Mitchell, general superintendent for the Chicago Park District.
Admission to both shows is free. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily. Garfield Park will have extended hours on Wednesdays to 8 p.m. For more information, call the Lincoln Park Conservatory at (312) 742-7736.
