Those who believe in astrological signs are fiercely loyal to their own.
That’s why a widely-circulating Web report is ruffling the feathers of Pisces and Capricorns alike.
Parke Kunkle, a board member of the Minnesota Planetarium Society, says that star signs, created about 2,000 years ago, may not be accurate.
The discrepancy, according to Kunkle, arises because the moon’s gravitational pull is twisting Earth on its axis.
Kunkle posits that the actual correct signs would be as follows:
Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11
Pisces: March 11-April 18
Aries: April 18-May 13
Taurus: May 13-June 21
Gemini: June 21-July 20
Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23-Dec. 17
Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20
But before you go out and abandoned your long-held allegiances, know that members of the scientific community aren’t so quick to agree. Some have pointed out that this factor has always been taken into account.
