Fertility Centers of Illinois is offering an unusual money-back guarantee:
Couples who are unable to conceive using fertility treatments can get a 70 percent refund if multiple cycles of in vitro fertilization aren't successful.
And a 100 percent refund is being offered for clients who can't conceive using donor eggs.
Use of fertility treatments has declined nationwide during the recession, though the drop hasn't been as sharp in Illinois, where insurance companies are required to cover fertility treatment.
Eligibility for the refunds is based on factors including the woman's age and hormone levels and the man's sperm quality, said Fertility Centers' Dr. Angie Beltsos.
