Beef stake

Tsuki, 1441 W. Fullerton, says goodbye to the summer with one hot deal over Labor Day weekend.

The restaurant is offering 50 percent off dinner Friday through Monday to parties of four or less. Reservations are required. Guests must mention the promotion when making their reservation.

The restaurant also is now offering Wagyu beef selections that include nigiri/sashimi beef topped with fresh wasabi and chopped onion, $13.50 for two pieces, and toban-yaki style beef, cooked tableside on a hot toban plate and served with shimeji and shiitake mushrooms, $35. (773) 883-8722.

Power lunch

Powerhouse Restaurant, 215 N. Clinton, gets down to business with its three-course prix fixe power lunch; $25.

The menu includes a choice from the soup/salad/risotto and entree sections and the restaurant's famed sweet potato doughnut for the dessert course.

Summer stock

Summer produce is at its peak, and Clark-Coutre Gourmet tailors a cooking class around the harvest's yield at 6 p.m. Saturday; $65.

The menu includes cold avocado cucumber soup with radish; chicken breasts stuffed with Provolone, sage and prosciutto; orzo with Sun Gold tomatoes and gaeta olives; mascarpone panna cotta with raspberries, and a glass of prosecco.
