Thrill of the grill

Chef Mark Hannon and pastry chef Jeffrey Sills of Quince, 1625 Hinman, Evanston, offer a three-course summer grilling hands-on summer grilling class at 10 a.m. Thursday; $75.

Wildfish, 730 Waukegan, Deerfield, is offering Deerfield Commons concert-goers a prix fixe sushi (ahi-poki, seaweed salad, spicy tuna roll and green tea ice cream) and kitchen (edamame, seaweed salad, salmon and green tea ice cream) menu from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through July; $28. Outdoor fun

Whole lotta lobster

Smith & Wollensky, 318 N. State, celebrates lobster with a trio of specials during July, $55.

Dinners are available after 5 p.m. and include a three-pound Maine lobster with starters; filet mignon and a whole lobster and a whole poached lobster with a fava bean, summer corn and mushroom ragout.
