Not to be cynical (though a lot of Hollywood players are!), but it appears Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have launched a campaign to quash those “troubled marriage” stories.

Look for more photos popping up like the one that first appeared on TMZ — showing the couple in Malibu on Tuesday, laughing and looking like the two happiest people in the world, with Will calling the splitsville rumors “ridiculous.”

† While the Smiths stress their marriage is “intact,” there are tales that it’s Will who wants to change the physical nature of the couple’s relationship — wanting a more traditional marriage (in the bedroom) than Jada.

A Smith pal questioned that rumor, saying, “I’d love to know who came up with that. I can’t imagine Will discussing his sex life with anyone — at least anyone who would blab about it.”

WEDDING BELLS: What prompted Joy Behar finally to marry her longtime beau Steve Janowitz on Aug. 11 supposedly was New York’s passage of a same-sex marriage law that made wedded bliss available to everyone in the Empire State.

However, the comic and TV personality won’t be chatting about it until “The View” returns Sept. 6 for its 15th season. The New York Post quoted Behar as saying “Barbara Walters would kill me,” if she spilled the beans about her surprise nuptials before the details are shared with the audience of “The View.” Ditto for Chicago native Sherri Shepherd’s summer wedding.

TUMBLE TALK: California friends of Nancy Reagan, 90, tell me they are very concerned that the former first lady is falling too much lately.

Fortunately, Reagan was not injured when she stumbled on Tuesday, with her fall largely deflected by the quick-reacting Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).

“Nancy needs to use a walker full time. She’s too unsteady for just a cane,” said a longtime Reagan associate, who has known her since her White House years.

The widow of Ronald Reagan fell as she was escorted by Rubio to a speech he delivered at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, Calif.

WEIGHTY ISSUE: There’s word Cher is deeply worried that her transgendered son Chaz Bono remains “in the closet,” but it has nothing to do with sex.

Seems Bono — who long has been overweight — is a secret junk-food addict. While his weight problems also have been affected by the hormone treatments tied to his sex change procedures, Bono has been spied by paparazzi — as noted by Hollywood gossip queen Janet Charlton — scarfing down burgers in his car before heading to the home he shares with slim-and-trim girlfriend Jennifer Elia.

Cher and Elia supposedly are trying to get Bono to go to Overeaters Anonymous to no avail.

† However, if those rumors prove true about Bono being on the next season of “Dancing With the Stars” — that would be a great way to take off pounds!

WENDY TALK: As Wendy Williams brought her pink and purple “Say It Like You Mean It” tour bus through town Wednesday, she was greeted by hundreds of fans at Woodfield Mall in Schaumberg.

Asked about celebrity guests on her daily chatfest, Williams told me she was surprised by several, including Tyrese Gibson, “because he’s really such an old-fashioned kind of man, packaged as a hip, cool guy. He has great advice for women on how they can attract smart men who will treat them right.

“I also was surprised by Dan Rather. I expected a stuffy, ‘I’m-better-than-you-are,’ serious newsman. Instead he was totally down to earth and very funny.

“Finally, I was blown away by James Earl Jones. I expected Othello — the serious actor — but I didn’t expect we’d talk about his sex life!”

Williams’ multi-city tour is to promote the Sept. 12 launch of her show’s third season, airing locally at 10 a.m. weekdays on WFLD-Channel 32.

SIGHT SEEN: Music superstar Ke$ha had fans excited when they spotted her at the Dana Hotel’s Aja restaurant. … John Cusack has been home for a bit — and got his sushi fix Tuesday night at RA Sushi in the Gold Coast neighborhood. … His name is above the door, so it’s not surprising Michael Jordan — joined by Charles Oakley and other pals — slipped into his new steakhouse in the InterContinental Hotel. ... Yes, that was Laurence Fishburne, dining solo, at Le Colonial. … Ex-“Law & Order: SVU” star Christopher Meloni, here filming “Man of Steel,” caught lunch at Rosebud in Naperville. …. Rev. Jesse Jackson dined at Tavern on Rush Tuesday.
