‘It was a pure love fest,” said a guest at the Tony Romo-Candice Crawford wedding Saturday.

“From the vows they said to each other — which they wrote — to the way they looked at each other, you just knew this is the real thing,” added the BZ spy in Dallas.

“Candice loves all things white,” said the source, explaining why “everything was white, white, white” — including the huge, air-conditioned tent, “the gazillions of white lights” encircling the trees and the enormous wedding cake.

For the ceremony, even the men in the wedding party wore custom-made white Dolce & Gabbana jackets with black tux pants as they supported the Cowboys QB.

† Since Romo personally chose all the music played at the wedding, it’s not surprising there were no songs one could relate to either of his ex-girlfriends: Jessica Simpson or Carrie Underwood.

As for Simpson, my source said a number of people couldn’t resist gossiping about the singer and actress. “Everyone is so glad Tony married Candice,” said my source, explaining the ex-Miss Missouri and popular Dallas TV personality “is all about Tony — and he’s the same way towards her. … With Jessica, you always knew she put her needs and her career ahead of Tony.”

† Among the 600 guests at the bash were the bride’s brother, Chace “Gossip Girl” Crawford; R&B singer Ashanti and Kim Kardashian’s ex-beau Miles Austin. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones got special permission from the NFL to attend — in light of the lockout rules preventing player contact with team management.

† Given the large number of professional athletes on the guest list, wedding planner Todd Fiscus told WFAA-TV he included short ribs and pizza on the menu, because “I have a lot of football players to feed!”

INTERESTING TIMING: Exactly on the date of their fifth wedding anniversary, “The Brady Bunch” actor Christopher Knight and Joliet’s own Adrianne Curry announced they were splitting — due to irreconcilable differences the couple say even in-depth marriage counseling could not overcome.

STAR TRACKING: While Cheryl Cole’s strong British accent was a factor in her being axed from “The X Factor,” it was the awkward lack of chemistry with fellow judge Paula Abdul that was the real reason for Cole’s exit. That has reportedly put a strain on Abdul and longtime pal Simon Cowell’s friendship, given his insistence on Cole’s casting on the U.S. version of the show.

† Pippa Middleton supposedly guffawed loudly when hearing of online reports she’s trying to woo Justin Bieber. The gorgeous sister-in-law of Prince William figures she was linked to the teen pop star simply because she was savvy enough to land Brit distribution of Bieber merchandise through her family’s Party Pieces company.

SEEN ON THE SCENE: En route to Wrigley Field on Saturday, lifetime Cubs fan Bill Murray, joined by family members, passed by the 12th annual crawfish boil at Toons Bar & Grill on Southport. Owner Danny Beck asked the Oscar nominee to stop by after the game — and sure enough, after spending a rainy afternoon in the Wrigley bleachers, Murray & Co. returned to Toons for a couple of happy hours. … While celebrating their agent Paul Kinzer’s birthday at Harry Caray’s Tavern on Navy Pier, the Cubs’ Aramis Ramirez, Starlin Castro and John Grabow closely checked out Sammy Sosa’s corked bat — on display in the restaurant’s Chicago Sports Museum. Harry Caray’s CEO Grant DePorter even removed the bat from the case so the Cubbies trio could hold it.
