Split turns Berry nasty

Given that Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry made all those comments after breaking up about remaining friends and only focusing on their daughter Nahla’s best interests, things sure have quickly turned nasty.
Along with filing lawsuits in both U.S. and Canadian courts, Aubry reportedly is willing to reveal some damning evidence about Berry that could tarnish the Oscar winner’s relatively “squeaky clean” image.
A source close to Berry refutes this, claiming, “While Gabriel may have e-mails and recordings of Halle that show her temper, it’s only because the thought of losing Nahla — even part-time — gets her crazy mad.”
Aubry’s camp paints a different picture — insisting the well-known male model is just unhappy about Berry’s approach to parenting, which he believes is compromised by her Hollywood star lifestyle.
He also is unhappy with what he claims is Berry’s total lack of respect for him — often calling him “just a model” — something Aubry believes eventually will have a negative impact on how he is perceived by the ex-couple’s daughter.
† Separately, Aubry is said to despise Berry’s new beau, actor Olivier Martinez, “and is not happy with some things that have taken place — some very adult activities — in the presence of Nahla,” said another source who is friends with Aubry.
† Berry not only denies all that, her spokesman told People.com, “Halle has serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time, and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her.”
The actress takes the custody battle with Aubry so seriously, she dropped out of the film “New Year’s Day.” Katherine Heigl has replaced Berry in the role as Jon Bon Jovi’s lover in the movie.
‘GLEE’ THE USA … According to a reliable BZ spy, one of the Chevrolet commercials running during Super Bowl Sunday “is an amazing, really spectacular Busby Berkeley-like extravaganza” — with the singer-dancers from the hit Fox show “Glee” showcasing their enormous skills in the spot.
RICKY REDUX? While Ricky Gervais has indicated the good ratings for the Golden Globe Awards show will lead the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to hire the comic for a third hosting gig for the Globes —a claim confirmed by a source inside the HFPA — the group’s head honcho is denying that.
HFPA prez Philip Berk — personally mocked by Gervais on the Globes — says no offer has been made to Gervais to host in 2012, adding, “Nice try, Ricky.”
Of course, as my HFPA source said Tuesday, “No official offer to anyone would be made this early. That will all come later this summer, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Ricky wasn’t asked back.
“Can you imagine the ratings the show would get?!”
