S elma Blair reportedly feels she was “totally blindsided” by staffers who ratted her out to Charlie Sheen when she complained about his behavior on their FX sitcom.

Once Sheen got word of her concerns — about his constant lateness, poor work ethic and mercurial moods— the “Anger Management” star insisted Blair be fired. He got his wish Tuesday, as the show’s studio announced the actress “will not be returning to ‘Anger Management.’ ”

“It’s his show and he holds all the marbles,” said a show insider, not directly involved in the controversy. “This isn’t like the situation on ‘Two and a Half Men.’ Charlie controls everything, and when he wants to get rid of someone, then that’s it.”

Apparently, Sheen already was unhappy with Blair’s performance on “Anger Management” before he heard she was griping about him. Once word of that reached him, “that was that,” said the source.

SPEAKING OF ANGER: Chicago native Jeff Garlin may still face a civil lawsuit from the female Mercedes owner whose car windows he busted out Saturday in L.A. But the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star was released from jail and will be able to escape vandalism charges by reporting to sessions at the Los Angeles city attorney’s office.

“We examined the facts and determined an office hearing is most appropriate in this circumstance,” the city attorney spokesman told the Associated Press — noting Garlin’s actions did not appear to reach “a criminal level.”

The incident followed an argument that rapidly escalated in a CVS pharmacy parking lot — after the woman slipped her car into a space ahead of Garlin.

MORE ANGER: Now that advertising mogul and major art collector Charles Saatchi has been cited by London police officials for choking his wife, celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, on the streetside terrace of a popular London restaurant, we’re hearing Saatchi’s angry outburst is nothing new.

Sources close to Saatchi claim the multi-millionaire has a very short fuse, frequently loses his temper and has gotten physical with Lawson in the past.

The popular food guru, by the way, has moved out of the couple’s London home with her children.

PERRY GETS PITHY: I’m hearing Russell Brand’s was upset after reading about ex-wife’ Katy Perry’s comments about him in her new Vogue cover story. In the piece, Perry said Brand was a “magical man” when they married in December 2011, but things rapidly went downhill — until he texted her 14 months later, saying he was divorcing her.

“At first when I met him, he wanted an equal,” Perry said, “and I think a lot of times strong men do want an equal, but then they get that equal and they’re like, ‘I can’t handle the equalness.’ ”

According to my Brand buddy, “what really set off Russell” was a final comment Perry made about him in the interview. The singer coyly suggested there was another major reason why she decided her marriage to Brand ultimately was broken beyond repair, but she refused to explain. After saying it was something she “can’t necessarily disclose. I found out the real truth. … I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day,” she added mysteriously, “I let go and I was like: This isn’t because of me; this is beyond me. So I have moved on from that.”

Perry also said the former couple have not spoken since Brand’s splitsville text message.

In the same Vogue article Perry admits she’s “still madly in love” with John Mayer, with whom she’s recently reconnected — though she also calls him “a beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds.”

† Meanwhile, that “broken bird” debuted a lyric video of his new single, “Paper Doll” — which a number of music insiders are speculating is Mayer’s return zinger to ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s dis track of him: “Dear John.”

BYNES BITS: As Amanda Bynes’ family and close friends attempt to figure out a way to convince the clearly troubled actress to check herself into a residential counseling facility (reportedly in rural Connecticut), a well-placed Seventh Avenue New York fashion maven said Tuesday, “Whatever happened to all those plans for Amanda to launch a fashion line?

“No one in the industry seems to know anything about it.”

† While chatting with Howard Stern, Nick Cannon joined the group of entertainers who have sympathetically commented on Bynes recent issues. Cannon, who worked with the actress on her “All That” show, told Stern he always felt, “That’s like my little sister,.” But he’s been unable to get in touch with her since her bizarre behavior became so obvious.

“To see her like that, it’s like, wow, man. It’s sad,” added Cannon.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: For the month of June, $1 from the sale of each slice of blueberry pie at Joe’s Stone Crab will benefit Bulls star Joakim Noah’s foundation, Noah’s Arc.
