Sounds like aging comedian Jerry Lewis hasn’t changed his view — first expressed in 1998 — that women are never funny. Asked about it at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, Lewis, 87, said, “I cannot sit and watch a lady diminish her qualities to the lowest common denominator.” — B.Z.
