Love ’em or hate ’em, you’ve got to hand it to the Kardashian clan when it comes to marketing their brand. The latest: Word has it Kim Kardashian’s huge weight gain during her pregnancy with Kanye West’s baby could add even more big bucks to her bank account.
Soon after the blessed event, we’re likely to hear about an ad campaign for one of the big weight-loss outfits featuring Kardashian. “Momager” Kris Jenner is said to be negotiating quietly for a deal with Jenny Craig, NutriSystem or Weight Watchers.
† No confirmation yet, but there’s also word Kardashian and West’s baby could be born in Paris.
OSBOURNE SPLIT? While neither Ozzy nor Sharon Osbourne has commented on her recent move to separate housing in L.A., the couple’s son Jack took to Twitter to blast reports of a pending divorce: “It’s all bull----. Last time I check [sic] a lot of British newspapers weren’t amazing sources of accurate information.”
† A longtime close associate of Sharon Osbourne told this column Monday, “In the past, Ozzy and Sharon have taken breaks, but I firmly believe they will again get back together and work things out — as they always have over the past 30-plus years.”
FUNNY … OR NOT: Believe it or not, the stunt pulled by the bare-footed “Parks & Recreation” star Aubrey Plaza at the MTV Movie Awards was a surprise to both Will Ferrell and show honchos — who later booted Plaza from the event.
The actress — supposedly mimicking Kanye West’s famous interruption of Taylor Swift acceptance speech at MTV’s 2009 Video Music Awards — jumped on stage Sunday and attempted to grab Ferrell’s “Comedic Genius” award, while he was in mid-speech.
† During the allegedly liquor-fueled stunt, Plaza had the name of her upcoming film, “The To Do List,” written on her chest.
BLUESY BIT: For proof that blues legend and Chicago music superstar Buddy Guy is still keeping an eye out for young talent, see his mentoring of blues guitarist Quinn Sullivan, 14.
The teen phenom — who just played with Guy at the Crossroads Guitar Festival at New York’s Madison Square Garden — has his first album, “Getting There,” due out June 18. But before that, Quinn hits Our Town on June 6 — playing with Shemekia Copeland at Chicago Blues Festival in Grant Park.
Bill Kurtis, but such groundbreaking feats as conducting an exclusive John Wayne Gacy interview and receiving the first visa granted to a local journalist to visit China.
SEEN ON THE SCENE: The new Central Standard (as in time zone) eatery at Kinzie and Wells already is attracting a bunch of good sports, including ex-Bears Johnny Knox, Nathan Vasher and Garret Wolfe — who dined together the other night. … Peter Magowan, ex-owner of the San Francisco Giants, tapped Tuscany on Taylor as his dinner choice while in town.
