Will Ferrell will receive the first MTV “Comedic Genius Award” at the MTV Movie Awards on April 14. Announcing the award, MTV president Stephen Friedman quoted Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy character from “Anchorman:” “Simply put, Will Ferrell is ‘kind of a big deal.’ ” — B.Z.
